History:
Dr. Tohru Leumadair is a doctor at Diadem’s three story hospital, where he leads the response to the “gold dust” cases: wounds that reject healing magic and fill with a burning gold powder. He set up a dedicated ward, the G.D.U., and suspected early on that it was not an illness at all, since a patient’s pencil wound beside a gold-filled blade wound was perfectly clean, almost as if someone were throwing gold dust into injuries.
Bound by medical code, he only allowed the Kings of Kings to see patients with Harken’s authorization or their own expertise, and walked them through the case files. The dust burned anyone who used magic, ate any healing spell thrown at it, and seemed to make more of itself if a single speck was missed. When it was found that non-magical potions heal the body from the inside out and push the dust out, he immediately had the hospital’s protocols amended.
He was Warton Tarbh’s attending physician for some time and planned to attend his funeral, telling the heroes Warton might be the epidemic’s only fatality. The gold dust turned out to come from the gold weapons forged by the Crooked King.
