Master of the Yellow Demesne, the Beach, and its DJ. Known as Zahir the King of Joy, believing in happiness. Holder of the Nova Knuckles.

History:

DJ Zahir Onlarla is the personified concept of light and ALL. His demesne is an endless sunny beach and boardwalk, and every week at sunset he throws Shinedown, a rave in a boardwalk warehouse where he enters in a blooming sunflower of light. He believes people’s smiles are paramount above all else, and when the Marauders began making people miserable, he started treating joy as a religion: the Crusaders of the Light, which everyone is automatically part of, Marauders included.

When Marauders crashed Shinedown, he offered them an open invitation to lay down their arms. One shot him with a gold-plated pistol and he dissolved into light, only to stand back up from behind the podium. He led the partygoers in defending themselves, then filled the room with glowing souls and blasted a captured Marauder with four instances of the RADIANT status at once, leaving him laughing in tears. He took a photo with the Kings of Kings for his shelf.

Zahir is a builder at heart. He made the warehouse’s light system, sound station, and dance floor, most of the rides in Diadem’s amusement park, and helped design the city’s cars, and races dune buggies he built himself. He fought the Kings of Kings in bee-shaped gauntlets, and after losing was carried home by his partygoers to a beach house full of photos of his parties and a backyard of stingless Melipona bees. In the epilogue, he and Caelum’s brother DJ Free take turns running shows and festivals.
