Profession:
Master of the White Demesne, the Tundra, and the children’s Guardian Snow Angel. Known as Whittaker the Timid King. Holder of the Mocha Verglas.
History:
Whittaker Tormet’i is the personified concept of ice and SLOWNESS, and his power over cold is unrivaled. His demesne is a snowy wonderland of skating, igloo building, and snowball fights, and wherever he goes, heavy snow falls on reflex. When he was King, he advocated for those who could not speak for themselves, above all children, and they adore him for it.
Like his siblings, he has been seen as a monster for most of his existence, but unlike them he refuses to harm anyone, even in self defense. Through grains of his memory, Conroy’s sand shows mob after mob beating him with fists, pitchforks, swords, and spells while he screams asking why. He developed a deep fear of people, burying his house in snow to keep them away, though he is never afraid of children. Five years ago Morana found him after one such attack, and has protected him and pretended to be the Master ever since.
A month before the Kings of Kings arrived, the Marauders harassed children at one of his snowball fights and took one hostage. Whittaker traded his Regalia for the child’s safety, then let them beat him and ransack his home rather than frighten the children by fighting back. Because they never formally challenged him, the Mocha Verglas was only an unbreakable white shortsword in Lucky’s hands. The Kings of Kings earned his trust by playing in the snow with the children, and he hugged the one who did best.
When they returned his Regalia, he hugged it to his chest, then bravely accepted their challenge, and afterward handed it over himself, refusing Morana’s help up for the first time. He stood with the other Masters against Nash-Zeroth, declaring they were done being careful around him.
