History:
Rowena is an elderly cardinal whose husband was Warton Tarbh’s closest friend and gambling buddy. At Warton’s funeral she tearfully thanked Thanatos for the ceremony and hugged him, and when he joked that the Graveyard demesne also hosts birthday parties, ghost story nights, and slam poetry readings, she burst out laughing. Her laughter spread through the whole grieving congregation. Thanatos explained that if she could smile at a time like that, she would be okay.
She passed away not long after. Her favorite song was Wayfaring Stranger, a mournful tune about a soul’s journey home, and Caelum, who had grown fond of her, sang it for her at a small, intimate ceremony that was everything she could have wanted. Those with the Eyes of Eternity could see her spirit afterward, rehearsing the song with Thanatos and Caelum, then standing beside the grieving boy in the doorway with a hand on his shoulder, before fading into a cloud of gray mist singing a few melodic words.
