Species:
Pangolin
Gender:
Male
Profession:
Master of the Brown Demesne, the Mountain, and “Coach” of the Mountain Valley Gym. Known as Tlaloc the King of Hope, believing in strength. Holder of the Cliff Breaker.
History:
Tlaloc Djetera is the personified concept of earth and MIGHT. His demesne is a peaceful valley ringed by mountains, home to a hot spring, a mine, and a gym full of bodybuilders who worship him. He embodies the idea that a rock-solid mind and body can weather anything, though, as Morana puts it, he has trouble articulating it. He lives on the peak of the practice mountain, where he sleeps curled up so long he is often mistaken for a boulder.
When the Kings of Kings climbed up to meet him, he woke with a stretch that knocked one of them off the cliff, then leapt after them, curled around them, and rolled the entire mountainside to the bottom so they landed unharmed, before climbing back up in minutes and offering everyone a ride down. He apologized with crushing bear hugs. Overjoyed to be challenged, he was ambushed by Marauders and cut with a gold weapon before the fight could happen, and after the Kings of Kings beat them, he forgave Lucky by hugging him far too tightly and dancing with him for a while.
He later defeated Jekhyra and Ma’at in a two-on-one challenge, rolling into both of them and throwing his own infused scales back as grenades. When the Kings of Kings finally beat him, his devoted crowd booed them, and Tlaloc silenced them with the angriest look anyone had ever seen him make, ordering them to get stronger instead. In the mindscape created when a team claims his Regalia, he speaks normally, revealing his halting speech is only a matter of his very long tongue.
